Paul Prusakowski

Dear List,

This was sent to me by John Schulte, CPO, FAAOP to share as a public service
announcement.

Thanks John!

BloodBorne Pathogens Precautions and Awareneness

This is a General Message to ALL persons in the O&P profession;

As I travel across the nation as a Clinical Educator, lecturing at National,
State and Local meetings one of the subjects that I am asked to present is
on BloodBorne Pathogens. Increasingly, I am approached from practitioners
telling me of infections from MRSA, C Diff and other pathogens. The stories
vary, but one thing remains the same; We MUST remain on HIGH ALERT from
becoming sick from these highly transmittable and potentially deadly
Pathogens! I urge you to use Personal Protective Equipment, Diligently Wash
your hands, Use Eye and Respiratory Protection, Clean All patient care
tools, equipment and hard surfaces. Make your Staff aware of the importance
of following the recommendations in their daily practice. Protect
yourselves, Your patients and Your family so you can stay healthy and be
able to continue to provide top notch O&P care within your community.

Be aware of these Nasty Pathogens so you can Stay Healthy!
