KAFO for weak hamstrings

Steve Rosenberg

I have a 40ish male MS patient who has good quads but weak hamstrings. He is
active and wants to stay active and keep working. I have considered making a
KAFO (he also needs dorsi assist for drop foot) using the Otto Bock “system
extension assist” mounted in stretched position, posterior at the knee joint
to help with flexion assistance. Any thoughts or recommendations would be
appreciated. Thank you. Steve Rosenberg, CP, BOCO
