Cast Saw Substitute

Jeff Ropp CP

Hello Fellow List Members,

In these days of trying to make the budget a bit easier I thought you might like to know of a great inexpensive alternative to cast saws. Harbor Freight has cheap tools and one of them is the Multi-Function tool, part no. ITEM 65700-9VGA this can be found at www.harborfreight.com?? I have been using it for 6 weeks or so and have had good results. It works a bit different because of its blade position, but it is like the Fein or Dremel tool. It even came with extra brushes for the motor. You can buy extra saw blades as a package and they also have a diamond blade as well. I know this will not outlast a Stryker cast saw and may not be appropriate in the hospital, but for $40, it is a good alternative when your Stryker goes down and you need a shop saw right away. Good luck and have fun.
