I have a patient that uses a KAFO to prevent knee hyperextension with a strap behind the knee to decrease the hyperextension. She is inquiring about anything new that might exisits that we could incorporate into a new KAFO system that would more streamlined than the strap I added to a KAFO to control knee hyperextension. Suggestions on joint technology, strategies to control the knee hyperextension, and streamlining it would be greatly appreciated.
