Besides the recent announcement that Heather Mills McCartney recently
underwent the Ertl Procedure, Ertl amputee and Ertl advocate Dan Sheret has
350 miles remaining of his 1400 mile cross country bicycle excursion in
England.
Dan expects to complete the ride in 21 days from start to finish and is
right on schedule. Follow his progress at
www.ampucycle.com finishing up at Heathrow England outside London on June
18th.
Dan is visiting 12 patient facilities along the way to spread the word of
the benefits of the Ertl Osteomyoplastic Amputation and Reconstruction

On this side of the creek , in the good ole USA, Ertl Amputees Across
America led by Joe Sapere Ertl amp and Amputee Across America 4 year
veteran, and AJ. Johnson have departed by bicycle from Los Angeles on June
6th and are riding through Las Vegas, Tucson, Albuquerque, Colorado Springs,
Wichita, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Ft Worth, Jackson, Birmingham, Dothan,
Tallahassee, St Petersburg, Clearwater, and ending up at Vero Beach, Fl. on
July 31st.
One of the Ertl amputee participants is Amber J Johnson, who is a recent
Ertl recipient ( as Joe was in 2003 ).

http://www.amputeesacrossamerica.com/aaa2006/index2006.htm , a 501 C(3) non
profit organization organized under the Alabama Association of the
Physically Challenged, an amputee support group in Montgomery, Al.
The group will stop by over 20 HealthSouth Care centers, Shriners and VA
Rehab hospitals and facilities along the way to promote the benefits of the
Ertl Procedure to surgeons,physical therapists,prosthetists and amputees.
On the site is their itinerary for 2006 which shows the visitation schedule
and the cities and dates they will visit. It also has the daily journals
for each of the four past rides.
Ertl amputee and ErtReconstruction.com webmaster Ron King and Dr.Wil Ertl
will be joining in the ride from Oklahoma City to Dallas,Texas.
