I would like to let everyone know that I will be
leaving within a weeks time to travel to Pakistan with
all goods donated and will be working with a team of
PTs and Orthopedic doctors in Balakot and Musufrabad.
We have large winterized tents and will be stationed
there for some time. We are working thru HDF (Human
Development Foundation) at www.HDF.com I will take
everything sent thus far and have it sent to Chicago
for PIA to ship to Pakistan in Islamabad. From there
we will gather information on where to purchase
supplies and meet with OandP practitioners in hopes to
help assess the situation and gather resources.
I hope to hear from all parties involved that may be
interested in contacting me there or even interested
in receiving updates on the relief effort. It will
take a lot of effort and supplies so I will be asking
people to continue sending their donations to us or
even to HDF directly to ensure that it can reach our
team. Please be patient b/c I will add everyone to my
PAKAID email group so as to let everyone know of our
actions and up to date on activities planned.
Please understand that once there it doesn’t mean that
we will not be shipping any more goods. The effort is
to last for years to come. We intend to set up a free
OandP clinic for people that can’t afford this
invaluable service.
