Dr. Leneis inspired one to regard the Orthotic and Prosthetic profession as
an opportunity to do something really special. He went where no one had before
by blending biomechanical theory with advanced design in a way that defined
the highest standard of care. You were always humbled in his presence, for
to please HRL was to truly understand what you were doing and why, in addition
to delivering designs with pride. It was my privilege to learn from him and
I will always admire what he did with his time in this field. The commitment
and sense of purpose he instilled in those lucky enough to study under him
has fueled many a carrier. In my mind he will always be the gold standard for
professionalism, integrity and advancement in Orthotic and Prosthetic Care. My
condolences to his family.
