As many of you are aware, our MAS courses held at Northwestern University
Prosthetic and Orthotic Center have been a huge success. We have now
trained approximately 240 prosthetists in this outstanding new socket
design. The response has been so overwhelming that we have decided to take
it on the road!
Currently, we have openings on the following dates and venues:
May 18-19 (Ohio Willow Wood – Mt. Sterling, OH)
June 19-20 (Hutnik Rehab – Holbrook, NY)
June 22-23 (Hutnik Rehab – Holbrook, NY)
NYSAAOP members receive a $100 discount for the NY courses
July 19-20 (NUPOC – Chicago, IL)
July 22-23 (NUPOC – Chicago, IL)
October 22-23 (U of Michigan – Ann Arbor, MI – Currently limited to MOPA
members)
We also offer private courses for larger companies.
Two tiers of learning are offered at the course:
* Tier I – “Hands-On” – Full two-day seminar, which includes patient
evaluation with casting, modifications, and two test sockets. Attendee must
provide own patient model and his/her travel arrangements
* Tier II – “Observation” – Full two-day seminar which includes all course
materials, observation of patient evaluation, but no hands-on participation.
There will be 2 observers “teamed up” with each hands-on attendee.
For those of you not familiar with the M.A.S. socket design, it is a
revolutionary new socket design created by Marlo Ortiz from Guadalajara, MX.
