Vertical Alignment Jig (MILMO)

I am a student from the Francis Tuttle Orthotic and Prosthetic Program and I have been instructed to do a paper about the VFJ.  I was hoping that somene somewhere would be able to tell me the importance of MILMO.   Who he/she was, if he/she was a person  or what it stands for and why it is signifigant.  I appreciate the help.  Thanks.
