Does anyone in ABC or BOC see a problem with giving CEU’s to the following?
I am not sure which side of the fence either organization is on anymore giving CEUs to teach unlicensed, uncertified and unqualified people. Will ABC and BOC open their ranks to this association now just to raise more money?
Anybody else want to say something?

A new course for BOC or ABC Orthotists, Orthotic Fitters and their Assistants is now forming. The Fracture Casting Workshop will give you the tools to work within an Orthopedic Surgeons office. You can actually start your own orthotic practice within the ortho office while helping the surgeon with fracture care.
When: July 9th, 10th, & 11th Limited to 15 students.
Where: Holiday Inn Harbourside, Indian Rocks Beach, Florida (Tampa Bay area) Contact Charles Barocas at 727-394-1700 for a faxed application or just email your request.
The $1300.00 Tuition includes your hotel room, lunch and dinner and free attendance at two other courses*. see below
This course will allow you to convert your present skills to
Fracture Casting and Splinting. The 20 hour, three day program is
approved for Continuing Education by the ABC, the ASRT, the NATABOC and the American Society of Orthopedic Professionals. At the completion of the course you will be eligible to take the online Registered Orthopedic Technologist Exam.
This course will open the door to new employment and business opportunities for you. There are over 10,000 orthopedic offices in the US. Each one of them can become their own orthotic shop with the proper personnel.
Just as Orthopedic practices have added X-ray, CT & MRI, PT and out-patient surgical services to their practices, they will be adding full orthotic departments in the future.
*As an added bonus, all attendees of this casting course can attend the Tampa Bay Casting and Bracing Symposium August 28 & 29th (18.25
CE) and the Orthopedic Cruise, Sept 4th to 9th, From Tampa to Cozumel & Grand Cayman (14 CE applied for) This is a $600.00 savings.
That’s over 40 hrs of CE in information and workshop practice you can actually use everyday on the job. Please contact me with any questions you might have.
