I am going on a medical missions trip with our church Oct.2-11 to Lima,Peru. Our team is made up of about 40 people with cardiologists, dentist, opthamologist, plastic surgeon, neurologist and many nurses. We work with the university medical students who are also translate for us. We also take a few nights to teach area medical staff. They have never taken an orthotist with before and I am going with a physical therapist to try to form an orthopedic team. We go to various hospitals and outpost clinics around town. We would love to take with a prosthetist. We are also sending a container of orthopedic supplies in June so if anyone has items they would like to donate I would gladly accept them. We are not sure of what we will see so plan to take off the shelf items. If anyone has been there before I would welcome any information or contacts. Thank you, Kim Nieuwenhuis,CO
