Dear colleagues,
I have a nine year old client who has a knee disarticulation amputation that
wishes a swimming/beach prosthesis. I have tried to determine from her
parents how important cosmesis compared to function is. They are obviously
hoping for both, however, the only knees I know of for swimming are not
cosmetic for her level. Does anyone know of a swimming style of prosthesis
or components that is both functional and cosmetic. The socket will be an
alpha suction style with sleeve suspension. Thanks in advance! I will post
all replies.
