I was hopeful to gather more information as to the potential consequences of the most recent ABC proposal before arriving at a formal belief and decision. I do not know the process and/or information I think to be pertinent. If possible, would someone who knows please inform me. My questions are as follows:
Is the CAAHEP accreditation for the schools and NCOPE in jeopardy due to the end product accreditation requirements being changed?
Have any PT schools (which are on a pathway for all to become a Ph.D. program) applied for either BOC or NCOPE tract educational status?
Is there any long-term plan to raise the bar in the future to provide for a higher quality of practitioner entering the field tomorrow than there is today? (everyone wants their children to succeed further than he or she has). If so, is this written or just conceptual?
Do the currently accredited schools believe that they are in jeopardy of closing due to more limited enrollment and loss of funds? Can this be replaced through other forms of marketing or other funding sources?
Are the unique qualifications requirements of the ABC going to be revamped also?
Thank you.
