High school + 4 years College$$$$ + 1 year Certificate Program$$$ + 1 year residency + ABC grueling exam$ + CEUs$= ABC certification
or
High school + work around the shop + BOC test = ABC certification
Why should an employer pay for the former when they can get the latter for less? After all ABC says they are the same, just check out the letters after their names.
