O&P Plastics

Charles King

Greetings,

=20

I used to be responsible for the medical plastics division of a large =
plastics distributor. Former associates still in the distribution =
business are calling me and saying that they are experiencing major =
customer complaints with copolymer and polypropylene. A little research =
has revealed that consolidation and closures in the plastics extrusion =
industry has resulted in changes in these common plastics (resin switch) =
that just isn’t working well for O&P applications. I’m asking the list =
if you are having problems with copolymer and polypropylene (or other =
plastics) and what solutions have you come up with. I have friends (in =
distribution) who are attempting to solve this problem, and need to know =
how widespread the complaints are. =20

Thanks in advance,
