Dear list, I am currently involved in a debate over the use of codes for
locking liners. If you bill for a locking liner and a locking mechanism, can
you justify a suction socket? It has been explained to me that the liner is
integral to the socket system. Because the liner creates a suction suspension
it is considered a suction socket. My feeling is that the liner and the
socket are separate items. I’m interested in other thoughts on this.
