I would like to see someone create some discontinuous shin foam pieces,
similar to what DAW and Ossur(Total Knee) have, only a bit different
These would come in left and right, thin, regular, and wide …..AND would
have different proximal inserts to accommodate a variety of knees of
different manufacturers. (thus stabilizing the shin piece)
They would be smooth like the DAW so that you didn’t have to spend more time
trying to sand down the mold seams.
BK versions would be also available similar to Seattle’s but of thick pelite
(like DAW’s shin segments)
So that they could be heated to fit a variety of sockets and would have more
stiffness.
Perhaps these ideas are already out there and I don’t know about it?
Who else makes universal shin pieces?
