Hello everyone,
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who replied for my request for funding information for a prosthesis for my highly motivated, yet very short-funded patient. I was actually overwhelmed by the number of responses in such a short period of time! It’s nice to know there are still a lot of us healthcare professionals still interested in the patient, someone I feel often gets lost in the insurance mayhem.
I would especially like to thank Tony Barr and the Tony Barr Foundation for his quick response . He offered a phone number to call and spoke with me himself last evening. Within 12 hours I had a local sponsoring prosthetic company, and my patient should have a new prosthesis in about 3 months. Needless to say, the patient and his family were elated when they got the news today. What a great way to end his hospital stay! Thank you again, sara
