We have a patient with advanced OA-RA that is particularly disabling in
the cervical spine. Her orthopaedic surgeon would like to try her in a
collar before contemplating any arthrodesis surgery.
We have tried her in various types without success due to discomfort and
to some extent compliance. We have tried philly’s, headmaster, soft.
Is there an inflatable collar available that you can vary the pressures,
hence the support it provides?. I vaguely remember seeing one in a
catalogue once that was shaped similar to a soft collar.
Thanks
Ben
