After reading the post regarding DAFOs and Cascade my concern is not about
protecting the O&P professionals it is about patient care. How many Orthotist
have seen DAFO which were mailed to patients, or look like a trimming
adjustment has been done by a rat chewing at the end?
My concern is, Cascade is aware of this, and they don’t care because they
just made the sale!
I have attended the course many years ago and I like the DAFO’s,but I don’t
understand how they can bill the insurance companies for patient care when
they have never even seen the patient (if I am correct that they do bill for
patients in Florida when they are in Washington).
If I am wrong please correct me and I will apologize, but I think I am right.
