We have a 20 years old patient who has member’s inferior right
amputation above knee due to an ostiomielitis. The prosthesis that he
was using it cause him many nuisances because he suffers of not
controlled high blood pressure (not controlled arterial hypertension ),
besides he has chronic terminal renal failure, type I diabetes Mellitus,
gastroparesia, secondary neuropathy and hepatitis B.
He has been using a prosthesis with adjustable socket but his normal
walking has not been achieved.
We require suggestions on what prosthesis he could use without this
causes him stump swelling and pains.

Estimados Miembros de la Lista:
Tenemos un paciente de 20 años de edad que sufrio una amputacion de
miembro inferior derecho sobre rodilla debido a una osteomielitis. La
protesis que estaba utilizando le causa muchas molestias debido a que
tiene un diagnostico de Hipertension Arterial no controlada ademas de
Insuficiencia Renal Cronica Terminal, Diabetes Mellitus Tipo I,
Gastroparesia, Neuropatia Secundaria y Hepatitis B.
El paciente ha estado utilizando un socket ajustable- regulable adecuado
a sus necesidades pero, lamentablemente, este le causa dolores y
lastimados en su muñon.
Quisieramos saber sus sugerencias respecto a que tipo de protesis podria
usar, considerando su situacion.
