Assistance needed: 55 yocm, moderate activity, left hemi due to stroke,
left BK due to diabetes. He does have fair upper strength bilaterally,
is not real stable when ambulating, requiring some assistance either
human or mechanical. Patient is cognitively normal. To assist him in
therapy he has requested a “swim leg.” I have no experience with said
swim leg. I think I want a thermoplastic–one- pull socket and shank
with a locking liner. And perhaps a multipositional foot. But again I
need input’
Please suggest both the design and a source for total fabrication.
