A question or three!!

1)If the Medicare Competitive Bidding proposal of O&P services is adopted

nationally as planned without consideration of qualifications of providers,

would not Hangar(1,000 practitioners) have unfair advantage in becoming the

lowest bidder since they are manufacturers as well as major providers of

such services and components?

2)What happens to the independent and his chances of recieving O&P medicare

contracts when he is paying a higher price schedule for components than a

Hanger facility?

3)How many AOPA directors hold major manufacturer or Hanger positions has

well??
