Jasmine Lee Taketa

To Whom It May Concern,

I am a third year Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering student at University

of Southern California looking for some exposure to the field of

prosthetics. This is a shot in the dark, but I am looking for any

opportunities to join a prosthetics team on a field mission starting on or

after January 2000. Right now my main areas of interest are Vietnam and

Cambodia, but I am open to any other possibilities. It has been my dream

to enter the foreign field ever since I heard an inspiring presentation

from one such ‘field veteran’ half a year ago. I have some educational

background in human anatomy, rehabilitation engineering, and mechanics of

materials, but otherwise I have virtually no knowledge or experience in

the area of prosthetics. I am planning to pursue certification but that

is still a few years down my educational track. However, until then, I am

fully willing and eager to volunteer my time to work and learn. I would

also be ready to raise my own financial support to join a missions team.

If there is anyone who could provide information about such an

opportunity, I would sincerely appreciate your response. Thank you all in

advance for your time.

Best Regards,

Jasmine Taketa
