Dear colleagues,
Thanks to every one who responded and are continuing to respond to my last
Email on the server.
My next question is if any one has don any research into the factors od fit,
comfort, practicality and their phycological effects on the patient and the
patients ability to function as a so called normal person.
If anyone can help me with this and my other email please contact me.
Thank you for your help and I look forward to your replies.

THANKS Everyone
Dear colleagues,
I am a University researcher in the UK at De Montfort University Leicester,
currently studying my Ph.D. in my own area of study, that of Prosthetics
development, concentrating on the fit practicality and comfort of the
prosthetic and phycological affects of disability to patients.
I have been interested in the subject of prosthetics for some 25 years of my
life as I myself am a double BK amputee and a left BE amp as well as having
a partially formed right hand. All this sounds like I am a bit of a mess but
I assure you that despite my disabilities I make the best of my life and my
future intentions.
My training is based in the field of product design and engineering, this
mixed with my interest in prosthetics has led me to come to some startling
conclusions and potential products. On of which I am currently researching
into. My unique outlook makes my conclusions somewhat surprising and some
may say revolutionary.
However I have increasingly found funding for my efforts be rather difficult
in the UK as the funding resources for prosthetics is greatly inadequate,
Therefore i am currently contacting organizations and companies that i feel
may be interested in such novel ideas as my own. As a result i have
contacted yourself today in an attempt to find some help and support or even
an organisation that may be able to help in what ever capacity.
Please if you are able could you contact me with any relevant information on
sponsorship opportunities. With any organisation which will allow my
research to continue, as well information on where and how to publish my
findings so far
Thank you for your help and I look forward to your replies.
