Used Prosthetic Components

Bryan Steinnagel

I recognize the obvious sense in using only new components in your setup, in

terms of safety, liability, and warrenty, but does this mean that you simply

throw out the components once they have been used? Despite our extensive

coverage of medical services in Canada, there is…limited money available

provincially for prosthetic services, and the idea of simply tossing a

titanium coupling or rotator that has been used for a year or so is somehow

unsettling. What an interesting side-effect of the different funding

systems.
