Poll Results: Prosthetic Care and Following Up

We recently saw a conversation on social media where a person receiving prosthetic care felt that his O&P facility didn’t follow up/check in on him after prosthesis adjustments or residual limb problems, which he found disappointing. He wondered if this was normal.

For the final question on this topic, we asked: What does your facility do when it comes to following up with patients who have had amputations.

Of those who responded, 61 percent said they always follow up and 39 percent said that they followed up as needed.

On Twitter, 66.7 percent responded they always follow up, 33.3 percent responded that they followed up as needed.

Last week our poll focused on the importance of team building events and office outings. In -part one of a two-part question, we asked: Now that more people are doing their day jobs from home, what types of activities does your facility do for team building events?

Of those who responded, 50 percent said team building events included going to movies and galleries; 25 percent each said outdoor activities or other. Everyone on Twitter chose “other” from our options. Let us know how your facility spends time together outside of work..

Our question for part two is open now: How often does your company hold team building events?

Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
