Of the 42 percent of job seekers willing to take a pay cut, 20 percent are willing to take up to a 5 percent cut, while 4 percent are willing to take more than a 20 percent cut. The rest landed in between.
But workers who aren’t actively looking for work are less likely to seek out situations that come with a pay cut. Of the 28 percent who are open to a pay cut, though, 28 percent would do it for more flexibility, and 19 percent are open to a cut if it means stronger workplace relationships.
