Move United, a community-based sports and recreation organization for individuals with disabilities, announced 22 athletes will compete at the 2023 World Abilitysport Games December 1-9, in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
The US delegation, which includes athletes ranging from 15 to 31 years old, will compete in track and field events. 
Athletes representing the United States on the Move United Delegation include: Michael Anwar (Washington), Michael Assefa (Illinois), Margaret Beaudoin (Missouri), Adaylia Borgmeier (Minnesota), Benjamin Brackett (Virginia), Ben Brandt (Illinois), William Butts (Texas), Zachary Carter (Texas), Lauren Fields (Washington), Tyler Gunnarson (Minnesota), Will Hamilton (Minnesota), Zachery Holman (Florida), Lucas Jundt (Wisconsin), Delmace Mayo (Massachusetts), Elicia Meairs (Texas), Weston Powell (Texas), Gianni Quintero (Wisconsin), Christian Ramirez (Texas), Jillian Romanyk (Missouri), Lily Rosenthal (Wisconsin), Kaidhyn Stockdale (Kentucky), and Samuel Winter (North Dakota).
To be considered for competition, athletes had to apply and meet certain criteria, including having at least two or more years of competition experience at the national level. The US delegation also includes a number of coaches, medical staff, and other support personnel.
“This competition provides emerging athletes the opportunity to compete against other elite athletes at the international level,” said Jessica Cloy, Move United competition manager, and a four-time Paralympian and seven-time Paralympic medalist who serves as the delegation leader for the US. “For many athletes, it might be their first international competition. In the past, this event has also served as a stepping stone to the Paralympic Games and other elite competitions for athletes as well.”
