The American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (the Academy) identified a list of O&P research priorities as a resource to inform future funding initiatives. The Academy’s Research Council established a process to identify and prioritize research topic statements that describe current knowledge gaps with the greatest clinical need. The resulting list has been provided to funding agencies to inform research program development and requests for proposals .
