Kinetic Revolutions (KR), has named the Frederick Innovative Technology Center (FITCI), Frederick, Maryland, as its new headquarters. KR says that the 15,000-square-foot center is specifically designed for the needs of technology entrepreneurs, and also houses biotech, information-technology, and renewable-energy businesses. It is in close proximity to Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Washington DC; Bethesda Naval Hospital, Maryland; multiple other Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals; and university-based research programs.
“FITCI’s partnership with many of the labs at Fort Detrick, the nation’s premier federal biomedical technology research facility, provides KR unrivaled access to federal research collaborations and government intellectual property,” explained KR founder and CEO Mac Heebner. “Combined with a focused, comprehensive business assistance program, [this] makes FITCI a great place to start our business in Maryland.”
