Freedom Innovations, Irvine, California, has named Mark Testerman as the vice president of sales for its U.S. sales organization. Testerman’s responsibilities will include sales strategy development, key account management, and sales force training and development.
“Mark brings extensive healthcare sales expertise and a passion for superior customer service,” said Gary Wertz, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We are excited about the host of creative strategies he’ll implement to support our continued growth.”
Testerman has more than 20 years of experience as a senior sales executive in both the specialty pharmaceutical and medical device marketplace. He began his healthcare sales and marketing career with Allergan, headquartered in Irvine, California, holding numerous progressive managerial positions. Testerman served as director of marketing and vice president of sales for CIBA Vision Ophthalmics (now Novartis Ophthalmics), Duluth, Georgia, and, as co-founder of ophthalmic bio-tech company Alimera Sciences, Alpharetta, Georgia, he helped bring the company from inception through the launch of its first product and the development of its current product portfolio. He also played a role in raising capital, leading co-promotional alliances, and hiring and training a sales force.
Testerman earned a bachelor of science degree in business from Miami University, Florida.
