The Uzbekistan amputee football national team defeated Argentina 3-1 in the final match of the 2010 World Amputee Football Cup. More than 10,000 spectators attended the event to watch the Uzbekistani team-the defending champions-repeat as World Champions. Uzbekistan also won the World Cup in 2007.
Uzbekistan ended the tournament undefeated, with 4 wins and 2 draws. Argentina placed second, Turkey third, and Russia fourth.
Japan is scheduled to host the next World Cup Tournament in 2012.
