The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) has announced that it will be conducting a Practice Analysis Survey of the Mastectomy Fitter. ABC said the survey results will help “define the certification, education, and training of future fitters; in the development of valid and reliable examinations; and convey to others outside our disciplines the scope of services provided by certified mastectomy fitters.”
ABC said it urges all ABC-certified mastectomy fitters to participate in the survey to ensure the quality of the certification examination, and to make sure ABC fully assesses the domains, tasks, knowledge, and skills needed in the profession.
ABC said it will send the survey by e-mail in mid-July.
