Researchers at the University of Washington are asking ABC-certified prosthetists, prosthetist/orthotists, and prosthetic assistants to complete a short outcomes measurement survey. The goal of the research, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health, is to better understand the clinical resources that impact the use of outcome measures in prosthetics clinical practice, as well as clinician experiences with administering outcome measures with their patients.Â
The researchers will share the results with the O&P community to raise awareness and understanding of the benefits and challenges to using outcome measures in practice.
Participants will be asked to complete a 20-minute online survey about their use of outcome measures in the clinic. The survey will also include demographic questions, such as the length of time practicing as a prosthetist or prosthetic assistant. An identification number will be assigned to the study information provided by participants to ensure confidentiality.
Those who complete the survey will be entered into a raffle for a $50 Amazon gift card. For every 20 completed surveys, the research team will add one Amazon gift card.
