I have been asked to re-post my original message as a number of people were out of their offices last week. Thank you to those who have already responded. I will post the anonymous responses over the weekend (except those who have specifically stated they did not want their statements posted.)

Subject: [OANDP-L] Who uses transfemoral 3S or other form of gel liner and pin suspension?
I am doing a paper on gel liners and pin suspension for transfemoral amputees, and I am trying to compile information on what practitioners in the field are actually doing with this system since there is very limited information available on usage. I would appreciate any information that you are willing to put forth, and I promise to compile all the info. and post it to the list serve. All replies will be kept confidential in the compilation posting. Please e-mail me directly at [email protected] or [email protected]. Please feel free to discuss any of the following:
-Whether or not you are currently using the sysem and why
-What patient populations you are using it on if you do use the system
-Benefits you have seen over other forms of suspension
-Drawbacks of the system
-Any casting, modifying, or fabricating techniques or tips that you are willing to discuss (There is little information available even from the manufacturers on this topic)
-Any lturature that has been published
-And finally, any personal thoughts on the subject
Thank You in advance to all those who reply.
Sincerely,
