Ottobock named Ben L. Bailey as the new executive vice president and chief financial officer of its North America operation. Bailey, a financial expert with more than 20 years of experience in the global healthcare and technology industries, will succeed Kathy Hernandez, who has been with the company since 2006.
“Ben’s vast international experience will be invaluable to Ottobock across North America and with our global parent,” said Dr. Wilson Constantine, CEO and regional president of North American operations. “His proven track-record of managerial experience across finance, accounting, and auditing, as well as strategic and tactical business planning, will be an asset to Ottobock as we continue to expand our presence in the region and help people regain their quality of life.”
Bailey joined the company in March and will work directly with Hernandez, who is staying with the company through the end of the year, to learn Ottobock’s global processes and systems.
Prior to joining Ottobock, Bailey was the senior vice president and chief financial officer, radiation oncology solutions, at Varian Medical Systems, where he led teams in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Bailey also served as vice president of finance-worldwide sales financial planning and analysis for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he was responsible for strategic initiatives for a $17 billion business, as well as executive director of finance-Japan.
