East Tennessee State University (ETSU) announced that its Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSOP) program has been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The program launched in June 2024.
“This accreditation underscores ETSU’s commitment to providing high-quality education and training that meets the national quality assurance standards established by CAAHEP,” said Kyle Leister, PhD, CPO, program director and associate professor.
“Since I joined the university in 2023, I have been counting down the days to this moment,” he said. “Receiving initial accreditation from CAAHEP reflects the dedication and collaboration of our faculty, staff, and university leadership, all of whom have played a vital role in shaping the vision and integrity of our program. I’m deeply thankful for the support we’ve received at every level from ETSU. This milestone affirms the quality of our MSOP program and commitment to student success. We look forward to building on this foundation and the opportunity to contribute to the future of the O&P field.”
