The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) introduced the John Michael Student Poster Awards, honoring the legacy of John Michael, CPO, FAAOP, FISPO, “a visionary leader whose lifelong commitment to advancing the O&P profession continues to inspire,” the Academy said.
The award will recognize three outstanding student poster presentations at the Academy’s Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium, serving as a tribute to Michael while reinforcing education, research, and professional growth.
Students whose posters are accepted by the Academy’s Clinical Content Committee and who are Academy members will be considered. The winners will receive a certificate of recognition and $750 for first place, $500 for second place, and $250 for third place.
