Ottobock: Conventional Locked KAFOs and Dynamic Response AFOs Online Training - ABC will grant CEUs to Orthotists and assistants for completion of this training (0.75 ABC CEUs). After successfully completing this training, you will understand: • When to select conventional locked KAFOs over Stance Control KAFOs. • Lamination as a material for KAFO construction. Why it is superior to thermoplastic construction and how the patient achieves a better outcome. • Unilateral Joint Systems and patient selection. • E-MAG Control Joint and patient selection. • The necessity of safe knee function and data that illustrates falls by locked KAFO users, the cause of the falls, the effects of the falls, and why the E-MAG Control addresses the causes of falls. • Dynamic Response AFO (Carbon Ankle Seven). Why this changes the standard orthotic treatment modality for patients without plantar flexors. Discusses gait lab data gathered on gait deviations present in patients without plantar flexors and how Dynamic Response AFOs address these deviations.
Ottobock: Harmony Vacuum Management System Online Training - This training is designed for CPs. Training Objectives: • Gain understanding and knowledge of the total Harmony System and how it incorporates sub-atmospheric socket technology with the intent to provide amputees with a comfortable, secure and reliable prosthetic system.
Ottobock: Myo Plus Qualification Online Training - This training is designed for CPs. Please note: ABC will grant Category I CEUs to Prosthetists, Prosthetic Assistants and Prosthetic Technicians for completion of this training. Category II will be granted to those not identified. After successfully completing this training, you will be able to: • Understand the features, functions, and benefits of the Myo Plus pattern recognition system • Identify componentry necessary to fit the system, as well as compatible terminal devices • Recognize appropriate clinical application and contraindications for use of the system • Identify the six steps of the outlined fitting process • Conduct a successful trial evaluation using the Myo Cuff • Navigate the Ottobock Myo Plus iOS/Android app to evaluate and record patterns, train users, and adjust settings • Create a functional trial prosthesis or finished prosthesis • Train users to successfully use the Myo Plus system • Recognize effective troubleshooting tips and compliance measures Training duration is 1.5 hours and you will receive 1. 5 ABC CEUs.
