BionIT Labs, an Italian medical technology company and developer of Adam’s Hand, opened its US headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee this month. The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting event on September 10. 
The company said it had evaluated several cities in the United States before making the decision in 2023. The recently renovated office will serve as the company’s hub for North America, coordinating distribution, clinician training, and technical support.
BionIT Labs said it selected Chattanooga for its strong healthcare and manufacturing ecosystem, reputation for innovation, and welcoming business community.
“Establishing our North American headquarters in Chattanooga allows us to support prosthetists more directly and effectively,” said Gerald Stark, PhD, CPO/L, FAAOP(D), director of clinical operations and technical support, North America. “Our role is to empower prosthetists with the tools, training, and technical support they need, so their patients achieve the best possible outcomes. By basing this work in Chattanooga, we can strengthen relationships across the US and Canada while advancing the field of upper-limb prosthetics.”
Founded in 2018, BionIT Labs entered the US market in 2024, and now operates in more than 15 countries. The US team has five team members, with two based in Chattanooga.
