Hanger held a ribbon-cutting event in Fresno, California, on October 16 to mark the opening of its newest, state-of-the-art distribution facility.
The 75,000-square-foot facility will be the company’s West Coast hub for distributing O&P products to patient care facilities across the nation. In addition to increased facility size, the distribution center boasts technological efficiencies and several energy-saving features, including solar energy panels to offset carbon footprint and provide a high percentage of power for the facility; motion-activated LED lighting paired with natural skylights to help consume less energy throughout the building; and low energy consumption ventilation and HVAC systems.
“As Hanger’s ecosystem continues to grow, it is critical that our distribution network continues to serve our customers and patients efficiently,” said Kate Means, Hanger’s senior vice president of supply chain and customer operations. “This new facility not only allows us to stock significantly more products, but also enables us to improve service lead times, something that is critical for those we serve.”
