The Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) is responsible for the evaluation, design, fabrication, fitting, and alignment of prosthetic and orthotic devices to meet the functional and lifestyle needs of patients. This role involves working closely with patients, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest standard of care. The ideal candidate is an experienced and compassionate professional who demonstrates clinical expertise, necessary interpersonal and communication skills, and strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and lifestyle evaluation.
- Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom prosthetic and orthotic devices based on patient needs and prescriptions.
- Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on the use and care of devices.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other clinical team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and device specifications in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with operations / administrative staff as needed in support of timely care delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and continuing education requirements.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards (ABC or BOC certification requirements).
- Ability to perform on call.
Qualifications:
- Current ABC or BOC Certification as a Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO).
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensure in accordance with state requirements.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in clinical practice preferred, but would also consider a Resident.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and material science.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong patient relationships.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM systems and fabrication techniques preferred.

- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities for developing patient-specific solutions.
- Proficiency in manual fabrication techniques and familiarity with CAD/CAM systems.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and manual dexterity for device fabrication and adjustments.
- Ability to sit for extended periods during documentation or administrative tasks.
- Adequate vision (with or without corrective lenses) for detailed work and device alignment.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle tools, materials, and components with precision.
- Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to dust, chemicals, and fabrication equipment noise.
Work Environment:
- Clinical and fabrication lab settings with interaction between patients and healthcare professionals.
- Travel to hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or patient homes may be required. A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance will be required if travel is necessary.

- Albany, OR: Relocate before starting work (Required)
