Job Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs has an opening for a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) in the Mobile Orthotic and Prosthetic Care (MoPOC) clinic at the Sioux Falls VA Healthcare System in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We have a well-established MoPOC clinic (four years of outreach, two under the MoPOC umbrella), with a brand-new van fully equipped, and a great MoPOC Program Support Assistant that is fully trained – we just need you! Great facility support, care delivered at VA community clinics who are very invested in our team and have PT and OT services for you to collaborate with. We even have a backup van with a generator, dust extractor and Trautman – if your new big blue MoPOC van goes down, you still have a mobile lab!

–Â Salary range $86,962Â – $113,047 per year
Minimum requirements: Citizen of the United States. Candidates must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d). National certification by American Board of Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC) or The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO, BOCPO, or some combination of the two). Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. Â Candidates must have completed 1 year of experience functioning as a full member of the clinical team as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist which includes which includes significant involvement in treatment plan development for prosthetic and orthotic care of the most complex types of conditions.
Preferred experience: Experience providing mobile prosthetic and orthotic care. More than 1 year of experience as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist, particularly experience working independently without supervision.
