About OEI Prosthetics & Orthotics

OEI Prosthetics and Orthotics is a certified and accredited, full-service, high-volume prosthetics and orthotics provider serving the Greater Los Angeles area. We are contracted with most major insurance carriers, medical groups, and IPAs, and specialize in custom prosthetic and orthotic solutions, with limited off-the-shelf soft orthotics (excluding diabetic shoes).

 

As part of our continued growth, OEI P&O is preparing to expand into multiple cities and states nationwide over the next year.

 

Our practice is built around clinical quality, operational efficiency, and long-term partnerships—with patients, referral sources, and our leadership team.

 

OEI Prosthetics and Orthotics is seeking an experienced and driven Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to join our growing, high-volume clinical practice serving the Greater Los Angeles area. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a clinician who is confident in both prosthetics and orthotics, values operational excellence, and is interested in building a lasting career with a clear path to ownership and equity.

 

The ideal candidate is clinically strong, organized, and patient-focused, with the ability to manage a full caseload from evaluation through follow-up while maintaining proper documentation and payer compliance. This role goes beyond day-to-day patient care and offers the opportunity to contribute to clinical standards, mentorship, and the continued growth of the organization.

Position Details

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to join our leadership-driven clinical team. This role is ideal for a clinician who is clinically strong, professionally mature, and interested in long-term growth, including ownership and equity participation.

 

This is not a short-term or contract position. We are looking for someone who wants to build something meaningful and grow alongside the company.

 

Compensation & Incentives

  • Base Salary: $115,000 – $155,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Equity / Ownership Opportunity: Available and awarded overtime

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations for prosthetic and orthotic care
  • Design, fit, and adjust custom prosthetic and orthotic devices
  • Manage full patient care lifecycle, from evaluation through follow-up
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and referral sources
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with payer and regulatory standards
  • Participating in clinical best-practice development and quality improvement
  • Support practice growth through professionalism, reliability, and clinical excellence
  • Mentor junior clinicians and contribute to a strong clinical culture (as applicable)

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience post-certification
  • Certified in both Prosthetics and Orthotics
  • ABC and/or BOC certification required
  • Strong experience with custom prosthetics and orthotics
  • Excellent patient communication and bedside manners
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and integrity
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong documentation and time-management skills
  • Willingness to commit to the company for a minimum of 5 years

 

Preferred / Common Industry Qualifications (Please Review)

(These are standard for senior CPO roles—review and we can remove or refine as needed)

  • Experience working with Medicare, managed care, IPAs, and high-volume referral networks
  • Familiarity with insurance authorization and medical necessity documentation
  • Experience with upper and lower extremity prosthetics
  • Experience with spinal orthotics and complex bracing
  • Comfortable with technology and using EMR/EHR systems
  • Ability to supervise clinical support staff
  • Interest in leadership, mentorship, or clinical operations
