Position Summary
The Certified Prosthetist will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized prosthetic treatment plans, and providing fitting, fabrication coordination, adjustment, and follow-up services. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical knowledge with excellent communication skills and a commitment to outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assess their prosthetic needs, functional goals, and mobility requirements.
• Develop individualized prosthetic treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform measurements, casting, scanning, and other procedures necessary for prosthetic fitting.
• Fit, align, adjust, and modify prosthetic devices to ensure proper function, comfort, and safety.
• Educate patients and caregivers on prosthetic use, care, maintenance, and rehabilitation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up care and troubleshoot prosthetic fit or functional concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with referral sources, therapists, manufacturers, and other members of the patient care team.
• Follow applicable clinical standards, safety requirements, payer guidelines, and documentation policies.
• Help maintain a positive, professional, and patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Prosthetist (CP) through the American Board for
  Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) or an equivalent
  recognized credential.
• Texas licensure or eligibility to meet applicable Texas licensing requirements.
• Experience in prosthetic patient evaluation, fitting, alignment, and follow-up care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records, clinical documentation, and insurance authorization processes preferred.
