Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic O&P Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives within our Orthotics & Prosthetics (O&P) division. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in business development, sales, and client relationship management, with a keen understanding of the healthcare or medical device industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive market expansion, foster key partnerships, and enhance our service offerings through innovative strategies and targeted outreach. The successful applicant will be instrumental in shaping the future trajectory of our O&P business, leveraging their expertise to identify new opportunities and deliver sustainable growth.

Work Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet business objectives, including attendance at industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and occasional weekend functions.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary: $65,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities, via both O&P distributors and direct O&P business.
  • Specifically target larger O&P businesses across the U.S. Develop relationships with key decision makers and drive sales both through O&P distributors and direct.
  • Conduct product in-service trainings and teach educational classes to practitioners across the U.S. Collaborate with O&P distributor reps to schedule in-service trainings and educational classes. In the cases of direct business, the collaboration will be direct with the management of the O&P facilities.
  • Support post-sale customer engagement to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term account growth
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities, report findings to Director of S&M.
  • Track, analyze, and report on sales performance of O&P distributors and direct customers.
  • Represent Trulife at industry conferences, trade shows, and professional events
  • Oversee project management activities related to new client onboarding, ensuring seamless integration of services and solutions.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the O&P landscape.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • Minimum 3–5 years of business development, sales, or account management experience, preferably in healthcare, medical devices, or orthotic and prosthetic services
  • Proven success in developing new business and achieving revenue growth targets
  • Experience working with O&P practitioners and O&P distributor representatives strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of reimbursement, payer environments, and healthcare regulations is an asset
