Job Description
The O&P Technician II duties include, but are not limited to, fabricating orthotic and prosthetic devices with direction and guidance from other technicians and practitioners. The O&P Technician II will repair prostheses as required and assist practitioners with casting and fitting as requested by the practitioner, as well as up-to-date fabrication tracking in OPIE.
Required:
- 2 years of orthotic and prosthetic technician experience
- High School Diploma/GED
Preferred
- High School or GED required • ABC Registered Technician Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Sound knowledge in all areas of O&P fabrication.
- Fabricate structurally sound and neat O&P devices.
- Communication skills to effectively cooperate and work with practitioners and other technicians.
- Able to work with chemicals and work safely with equipment and infection controls.
