Ossur is one of the ICEX-15 heavyweights driving the rally in Iceland’s small stock market, Reuters reported March 14. The news report described Iceland’s stock market as “a stellar performer so far this year compared with Wall Street, European blue chips, and fellow Nordic bourses.” The market is likely to continue rising, according to analysts. Besides Ossur, other companies pushing the rise are pharmaceuticals group Pharmaco; Kaupthing, an investment bank; and expansionist retail Baugur.
