Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC), Baltimore,
Maryland, recently announced its participation in a new endeavor
initiated by Amputee Coalition of America (ACA), Knoxville,
Tennessee, to develop a “National Action Plan for Access among
Individuals with Limb Loss”. As part of this initiative, ACA,
representing beneficiaries, is part of workgroup that also includes
manufacturers of myoelectric/computerized devices, American
Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA), BOC, and others.
